Grid integrity will be the primary focus of the Partnership for Energy Sector Climate Resilience. Seventeen utility providers voluntarily jumped on the Energy Department's initiative to outline specific adjustments and additions to the nation's energy infrastructure to combat rising sea levels and other climate-related risks. The group will also work to strengthen the grid against cyberthreats.

In order to reach these goals, the Partnership will examine energy regulatory practices as well as  incentive programs to encourage investment in new technology.
